The patronal feast of July between faith, gastronomy and live music
The Madonna del Carmine is the patron saint of Cuggiono, a municipality in the Magentino area overlooking the Ticino Park, in the Province of Milan. Her feast, which falls in July, is the most anticipated event of the Cuggiono summer: an appointment that intertwines religious devotion with popular conviviality and live music.
The religious heart of the festival is the solemn procession that winds through the historic streets of the town, accompanied by the liturgical celebration in honor of the Madonna del Carmine. It is a heartfelt rite, which every year brings the community together around its roots and the parish.
Alongside the religious dimension, the festival offers a rich program of free entry music evenings, spread across three symbolic locations in the area: Piazza San Giorgio in the center of Cuggiono, the Park of Villa Annoni – one of the largest historic parks in Lombardy – and the square of the hamlet of Castelletto. Concerts, tribute bands and live music accompany the evenings, alongside the gastronomic festival with traditional dishes.
Experiencing the festival is also an opportunity to discover Cuggiono and its jewel, Villa Annoni, an 19th-century residence surrounded by a large romantic park. The town, linked to the history of Lombard emigration to the Americas, retains an authentic charm in the heart of the Ticino Park, a stone's throw from the Naviglio Grande.
The Festa della Madonna del Carmine 2026 renews the appointment in Cuggiono with the town's patron saint. The program combines the solemn procession along the historic streets, the liturgical celebration, and the gastronomic festival with live music.
The free entry music evenings, as per tradition, liven up three locations in the town: Piazza San Giorgio, the Park of Villa Annoni, and the square of Castelletto. The complete schedule is available on the official festival website.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published on the official website festamadonnadelcarmine.it in the weeks preceding the festival.
