One of the oldest agricultural fairs in the Trevigiano area, in the hamlet of Sala
The Festa dell'Agricoltura di Istrana was born in 1974, when a group of farmers from the hamlet of Sala decided to exhibit their best livestock in the village square, creating a livestock exhibition. From that initiative, one of the oldest and most popular agricultural fairs in the province of Treviso has grown, attracting thousands of visitors every September to the heart of the Marca Trevigiana.
The heart of the festival remains the livestock exhibition, with the display and awarding of prizes for animals raised in the area. Alongside the animals, the fair offers displays of old and modern agricultural machinery, thematic exhibitions, and in-depth discussions dedicated to the farming world, recounting the evolution of agriculture that is part of the village's identity, crossed by the Sile River Park.
The festival is not just about agriculture: the food and wine stand offers traditional Venetian dishes, while the market enlivens the streets with local products and crafts. In the evenings, there is music, shows, and entertainment for all ages, held in the spaces of the Parochial Sports Center of Sala.
For the municipality of Istrana and the entire province of Treviso, the Festa dell'Agricoltura is much more than a fair: it is a moment when the community recognizes and proudly celebrates its rural roots, amidst the scent of the countryside and the conviviality of a village festival.
After the 48th edition in 2025, the Festa dell'Agricoltura di Istrana prepares for its 49th edition in September 2026, in Sala, at the Parochial Sports Center. The established format is confirmed: the livestock exhibition with local animals, the display of agricultural machinery, the food and wine stand with traditional Venetian dishes, the market, and evening shows and music.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, with exact dates and evening schedules, will be announced by the organizers on the festival's Facebook page in the preceding months. Based on the usual structure, the event includes:
