The patrons of Trivento and great music in Piazza Calvario
The Festa dei Santi Patroni Nazario, Celso e Vittore is the heart of the civil and religious calendar of Trivento, an ancient town in the province of Campobasso perched on the Trigno hills and famous for its monumental staircase of San Nicola. The festival combines devotion to the patron saints with the tradition of a community that intensely experiences its popular events.
Alongside liturgical celebrations and processions, the festival is enriched by shows, illuminations, and concerts that liven up Piazza Calvario and the historic center. The organization is managed by Pro Loco Terventum, which every year offers a program capable of attracting residents, returning emigrants, and visitors.
Trivento boasts a historical connection with singer-songwriter music: already in the nineties, the town hosted reviews and blues festivals. It is in this vein that the return of leading artists from the Italian scene is inserted, capable of transforming the patronal festival into an event of regional appeal.
The 2026 Festa dei Santi Patroni Nazario, Celso e Vittore culminates on July 27th, when Piazza Calvario hosts the free concert by Alex Britti. The guitarist and singer-songwriter returns to Trivento almost thirty years after his first performance in the town: in 1997, he played at a blues festival alongside the American bluesman Louisiana Red, in improvised performances on the San Nicola staircase that remain in the community's memory.
The concert, organized by Pro Loco Terventum, revisits the artist's most beloved songs. The festival retains its devotional character, with celebrations in honor of the patron saints of the Molise town.
Liturgical celebrations and the procession in honor of Saints Nazario, Celso, and Vittore accompany the festive day. The detailed religious and civil program is distributed by Pro Loco Terventum.

Concerts in the square are usually free admission. For the complete program, it is advisable to consult the Pro Loco Terventum.
