Ferragosto in Città is the event with which the Municipality of Saronno, in the province of Varese, enlivens the evening of August 15th. While Lombardy empties towards the sea and mountains, the city chooses not to go dark and offers an evening of live music and entertainment in the heart of the centre, free and open to all.

The gardens of Villa Gianetti

The setting is the gardens of Villa Gianetti, a historic residence now home to exhibitions and cultural events, which becomes an open-air stage in the summer. It is the same space that hosts the city's summer review Estate Divina, and for Ferragosto it transforms into the evening's meeting point, with the audience seated in the greenery under the stars.

The evening, which generally starts at 9 PM, revolves around live music and entertainment, with an offering designed for a broad and family audience. It's not a concert by a big name, but a town festival in an urban version: an opportunity to gather in the centre, listen to good music, and toast to the hottest night of Saronno's summer.

Ferragosto in Città is part of the rich calendar of Saronno Estate, made up of concerts, open-air cinema, and festivals that have animated squares, parks, and courtyards in the city since June. It confirms a precise choice by the municipal administration: to bring culture to the people even on days when the city traditionally shuts down.
