A Week of Celebration Around the Sanctuary

In Seregno, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, the Feast of Saint Valeria is much more than a religious observance: it is the feast that every spring transforms the Sanctuary district, in Via Piave, into the beating heart of the city. For a week, spirituality, music, and community life intertwine in a packed program.

Opening and Religious Dimension

The feast begins with a gathering in Piazzale Santuario, the floral tribute to the Madonnina, and the procession towards the Sanctuary, followed by a community blessing and the inauguration of the stalls. On Sunday, the votive feast of Saint Valeria is celebrated, while one day is particularly dedicated to children, with a blessing reserved for them.

Stalls, Exhibitions, and Activities

Numerous entities are involved: from the Pilgrim's Buffet to the Pagoda of Solidarity, through the markets, the charity raffle, the climbs up the bell tower, and the historic painting and sculpture exhibition. The food stalls offer traditional Lombard dishes, in a climate of great conviviality.

Musical Evenings

The pulsating heart of the feast are the musical evenings, which embrace genres and generations with tributes to the great voices of Italian song: from bands dedicated to Jovanotti and Cesare Cremonini to tributes to Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and 883, up to dance and energy shows. A proposal that makes Saint Valeria an event capable of speaking to the entire city.
