The religious feast of the hamlet of Indiprete at the end of spring
The Feast of Our Lady of Graces is one of the most cherished events in the hamlet of Indiprete, in Castelpetroso, a municipality in the province of Isernia known mainly for the famous Sanctuary of the Addolorata. The feast is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday following Pentecost, marking the arrival of the warmer season.
The celebrations combine religious rites in honor of Our Lady of Graces with the community dimension of a village festival, including a procession and moments of conviviality. In the same hamlet, at other times of the year, Our Lady of Libera is also celebrated, testifying to the rich popular devotion of this small Molise village.
Visiting Indiprete means discovering an authentic corner of the Isernia province hinterland, a stone's throw from the Sanctuary of the Addolorata, in a hilly landscape that preserves ancient religious and popular traditions.
The Feast of Our Lady of Graces will return to the hamlet of Indiprete in Castelpetroso for the Sunday following Pentecost 2026. The occasion includes religious rites in honor of the Madonna, the procession, and the typical moments of conviviality of a village festival.
