Fallone Festival 2025

The Fallone Festival returned to Affile, in the province of Rome, on the weekend of October 25 and 26, 2025, after a postponement due to adverse weather conditions. The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Affile, featured its signature dish: the fallone, a cornmeal flatbread stuffed with wild field greens and sausage, cooked according to the peasant tradition of the upper Aniene Valley.

As is customary, the village's historic center and Piazza Castellana hosted food stalls, the distribution of the fallone, the Sunday lunch in the square, and live music evenings. Tastings were accompanied by Cesanese di Affile, the historic local red wine, confirming the festival as one of the most cherished gastronomic events of the Lazio autumn.
