About Fabrica Festival

Fabrica Festival is the extensive cultural season held in Fabrica di Roma, in the heart of the Viterbo Tuscia region. From January to April, the festival features a vibrant mix of amateur theatre and live music at the Teatro Tenda PalArte. The programme is designed for the local community and visitors from the Viterbo province, featuring competition plays for the Arco d'Oro Prize, Argentine tango, swing, storytelling, and performances by large wind orchestras.

Fabrica Festival in Fabrica di Roma

Fabrica Festival is the premier cultural event in Fabrica di Roma, a charming village in the Tuscia area of the Viterbo province, in northern Lazio. Now in its 21st edition in 2026, the festival has established itself as one of the most anticipated winter and spring events in the region, drawing audiences from across the district. The heart of the festival is the Teatro Tenda PalArte, a welcoming indoor venue that hosts the entire programme.

A two-part season: theatre and music

The festival is divided into two major, complementary sections. The theatre season kicks off between January and March, showcasing the best of amateur and light-hearted theatre. Comedies, mysteries, and popular Italian plays are performed weekly, always starting at 5:30 PM. At the end of the season, the Arco d'Oro Prize – Amateur Theatre is awarded, a unique recognition where the audience itself votes to determine the winning company.

Following the theatre performances, the spotlight shifts to the music season, curated by the Musicultura Cultural Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Fabrica di Roma. From late March to April, the PalArte hosts a series of Sunday concerts ranging from Argentine tango and international swing to storytelling performances and youth orchestral ensembles.

A popular and community-focused festival

What makes Fabrica Festival special is its deeply popular and participatory nature: accessible ticket prices, a loyal audience, and a strong bond with the local area. The festival is not just entertainment, but a space for discussion, storytelling, and reflection, where different genres and styles coexist in a single calendar. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover Fabrica di Roma, with its medieval old town, its castle, and its roots stretching back to the ancient Etruscan and Roman city of Falerii.
