The European Market of Lecco is the mid-spring event that transforms the lakeside of the Larian city into a crossroads of continental cultures and flavors. Organized by Promozioni Confesercenti, in 2026 it reaches its 14th edition, confirming itself as one of the most popular commercial and gastronomic events in the Province of Lecco.
Exhibitors from all over Europe
The market brings together about fifty stalls with exhibitors from various European nations and numerous Italian regions. The offer is diverse: leather goods, jewelry, exclusive clothing, natural personal care products, and many artisan specialties, in a route that invites strolling and discovery.
International Gastronomy
The real attraction, however, is international gastronomy, concentrated mainly in the street food area of Riva Martiri delle Foibe: Spanish paella, Greek pita, Brazilian picanha, Chinese specialties, Austrian brezel, and Bergamasca polenta to represent the local area. A culinary world tour just steps from the water.
Against the backdrop of Lake Como
The European Market takes place along Lungo Lario Isonzo, Largo Europa, and Riva Martiri delle Foibe, on one of Lecco's most beautiful promenades, overlooking Lake Como. With its free admission and festive atmosphere, it attracts thousands of visitors each year, enlivening the city center of Lecco and the Lombardy Region for an entire weekend.
European Market — edition 2026
The European Market of Lecco 2026, the fourteenth edition, takes place from May 15th to 17th on the city's lakefront, between Lungo Lario Isonzo, Largo Europa, and Riva Martiri delle Foibe.
The edition features around fifty stalls with exhibitors from ten European nations and twelve Italian regions. Offerings include: leather goods, jewelry, clothing, natural products, and a rich international street food section with paella, pita, picanha, Chinese specialties, brezel, and Bergamasca polenta. How to get there
The market is located along Lungo Lario Isonzo, Largo Europa, and Riva Martiri delle Foibe, in the center of Lecco, reachable on foot from the train station and by car from the SS36. Traffic changes are expected in the lakefront area during the event.
Admission
Free admission. Stalls are open all day for the three days of the event.
