Edition 2025 — Days of Mills — Sapignoli Mill

In 2025, the European Days of Historic Mills involved the Sapignoli Mill Museum in Poggio Torriana on May 17 and 18, with guided tours and grinding demonstrations, workshops for children on grain and bread, a photographic exhibition on historic mills, and a round table on the future of watermills. The edition was marked by the twinning between the Sapignoli Mill and the Canepa Mills of the Republic of San Marino.

The 2025 edition took place on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, at the Sapignoli Mill Museum in Poggio Torriana. On Sunday, guided tours began at 10:00 AM, with practical demonstrations of the millstones and explanations of the grinding processes.

In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM, institutional greetings preceded the round table The Future of Historic Mills: Challenges and Opportunities (4:30 PM), with experts and administrators. The program included workshops for children on grain milling and bread making, a photographic exhibition on the historic mills of San Marino and Emilia-Romagna, and documentary screenings. The edition was marked by the twinning between the Canepa Mills (San Marino) and the Sapignoli Mill.
