Eugenio Castellotti was one of the most beloved Italian drivers of the Fifties, a pure talent linked to Codogno, his hometown, in the Basso Lodigiano area of the Province of Lodi. The Memorial that bears his name preserves his memory through a regularity race for historic cars, organized by the Scuderia Castellotti, which in 2026 reaches its 30th edition.

One Hundred Kilometers Through the Roads of the Lodi Area

Piazza F.lli Cairoli hosts the checks and the start of the event. From here, the crews tackle a route of about 100 kilometers on paved roads in the area, marked by 64 timed trials and three controls. It is not a speed race but a precision one: the winner is the one who can respect the imposed times with the utmost accuracy, in a challenge that rewards experience, cool-headedness, and teamwork between driver and navigator.

An Event of National Prestige

The Memorial is part of the ASI Formula Crono National Trophy and has been awarded the "Manovella d'Oro ASI" (ASI Golden Crankshaft) several times, a recognition that attests to its value in the Italian historic motoring scene. The event also includes the "Trofeo Città di Codogno" (City of Codogno Trophy) and the "Match Race Trofeo Terra di Fiumi" (River Lands Match Race Trophy), with the closing in the square returning the excitement of vintage cars to the city.
