San Donà Libri. Beyond the River is the literary review that inaugurates the cultural summer of San Donà di Piave, in the province of Venice. The evenings are held in Piazza Indipendenza, the heart of the city, and feature prominent national authors on stage.
Authors and Current Affairs
Each meeting is an opportunity to present a book and discuss current topics with the public, through diverse voices: from investigative journalism to fiction, from psychiatry to football. The review is curated by the Department of Culture together with the historic Manzoni and Moderna bookstores.
Part of the Estiamo Program
San Donà Libri is one of the events in the "Estiamo" program, the summer schedule that brings together dozens of cultural, musical, and entertainment events in the city. Meetings are free with reservation at the bookstores; in case of bad weather, they are moved to the Teatro Metropolitano Astra.
San Donà Libri — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of San Donà Libri. Beyond the River opens the Estiamo program from June 24th to 29th, in Piazza Indipendenza in San Donà di Piave. The review, curated by the Department of Culture with Manzoni and Moderna bookstores, brings prominent national authors to the square.
The meetings start at 9:00 PM, are free with reservation at the bookstores, and in case of bad weather, are moved to the Teatro Metropolitano Astra.

How to get there
San Donà di Piave can be reached from the A4 motorway (San Donà-Noventa exit) and by train (Venice-Trieste line). The meetings are held in Piazza Indipendenza.
