The Epiphany Tombola, popularly called Befana's Tombola, is one of the most cherished events in the winter calendar of Tarsogno, a hamlet of the Municipality of Tornolo, in the upper valley of the Lubiana stream, in the Province of Parma. Organized by the Pro Loco Tarsogno, the event marks the conclusion of the Christmas festivities and accompanies the community on Epiphany day, when the Befana arrives to bring sweets and surprises.

A Mountain Holiday Classic

Tombola has always been one of the most beloved games of Italian popular tradition, and in a small Apennine village like Tarsogno, it becomes a precious occasion for gathering. In the Multipurpose Hall of the village, adults and children sit around the game cards, follow the number draws, and eagerly await the 'ambo', 'terno', 'quaterna', 'cinquina', and the final 'tombola'.
