Olympic emotions in Cinisello Balsamo

While Milan and Cortina host the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Cinisello Balsamo (Metropolitan City of Milan) also celebrates the Olympic spirit with the exhibition 'Emotions of the Games – Cultures through Sport'. The exhibition is set up at the Il Pertini Cultural Center, in Piazza Confalonieri 3, in the heart of the city.

180 images from the IOC library

The exhibition features 180 photographic images and continuous projections selected exclusively from the library of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The exhibition is divided into two thematic areas: 'Olympic Emotions', dedicated to solidarity and sportsmanship, and 'Women and the Games', focused on the determination of female athletes and the achievement of equal opportunities.

A FICTS project

The initiative stems from the collaboration between the municipal administration and FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs), as part of the 'Sport & Culture – Together for the Games' project, with the involvement of Fondazione Fiera Milano, the Milan office of the European Commission, and the Lombardy Region, under the patronage of CONI Lombardia. The scientific rigor is curated by Professor Franco Ascani, President of FICTS and member of the IOC's Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission. An exhibition that links Cinisello Balsamo to the major event of Milan-Cortina 2026.
