About Emotions Carved
The Artist of Piazzo
Emozioni Scolpite is the anthological exhibition dedicated to Remo Ponti (1938-2025), a sculptor who left a deep mark on the Piazzo area of Albino, in the province of Bergamo. Starting in 2013, Ponti hand-crafted over a thousand bas-reliefs, each linked to a story, a memory, an emotion: a widespread artistic heritage, carved directly into the walls and spaces of the hamlet.
A Journey Through the Places of His Work
The exhibition guides the visitor through the symbolic places of the artist's work: the carved wall of Piazzo, the Piazzale dei Caduti, and the church of Sant'Anna, on Via Mazzini. It is a journey that intertwines art and territory, where the sculptures are not mere works to be observed but an integral part of Albino's landscape.
A Collective Tribute
The exhibition, with free admission, is organised by Insieme per Piazzo, Arte sul Serio, and Fondazione LESTER, and opens with the unveiling of two commemorative plaques. It is a tribute to a popular artist and to the memory of a community, which through his work continues to tell the emotions and stories of the Municipality of Albino and the Valle Seriana.

The exhibition runs from May 9th to 31st, 2026, with inauguration on Saturday, May 9th. The route touches the places of Remo Ponti's work – Piazzo, Piazzale dei Caduti, and the church of Sant'Anna – and is free to enter.

- 2:30 PM – Unveiling of the first commemorative plaque (Piazzo)
- 3:30 PM – Unveiling of the second plaque (Piazzale dei Caduti)
- 4:30 PM – Inauguration of the exhibition in the choir of the church of Sant'Anna
