A market made of memories
"El marcà de le robe de 'na olta" — in the Belluno dialect, the market of things from the past — is an event that is as simple as it is heartfelt in Fonzaso, a small municipality in the province of Belluno overlooking the Valsugana and the Feltrino area. For one day, Piazza I Novembre transforms into a large second-hand market: residents empty their attics and cellars and bring to the square what they no longer use, including furniture, agricultural tools, ceramics, old bicycles, toys, books, and records.
An idea from the Pro Loco
The initiative is organized by the Pro Loco di Fonzaso APS, the association that has enlivened the life of the village since 1969. It is not a market for professional antique dealers, but a popular occasion: anyone can book a space (places are limited) and put their items up for sale. The result is a curious coming and going, where people stop to bargain, to recognize an old tool, or to find a childhood toy.
A village day
The market takes place in the morning and early afternoon, with stalls opening from the early hours. Between one stall and another, it's an opportunity to experience the center of Fonzaso with its arcades and squares, on one of those slow and convivial days that tell the soul of the Venetian mountains.

On June 2, 2026, the Pro Loco of Fonzaso will host the usual second-hand market in Piazza I Novembre, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The initiative is open to traders and private individuals, with limited spaces to be booked in advance with the Pro Loco.
In case of bad weather, the event may be cancelled. The day coincides with Republic Day, an extra reason for a stroll among the stalls in the town center.

How to get there
Fonzaso is located in the province of Belluno, along the Valsugana state road (SS47), a few kilometers from Feltre. By car, it can be reached from the A31 or SS47 motorways; the nearest train station is Feltre, connected by bus to Fonzaso.
