A festival around "El Casel"
The "El Casel" Beer Festival in Castelcucco, in the province of Treviso, takes its name from the town's old social dairy: the "Premiata Latteria Sociale Cooperativa Lungomuson", founded in 1921 and active until 1997, now restored and recognized as a museum of rural civilization. Around this symbolic building, near Via Rù, the festival renews the bond between the community and its history every summer.
Bavarian atmosphere and twinning
The event has an unmistakable Bavarian feel: beer is served on tap in traditional glass steins, accompanied by food and live music in the evenings. The festival is also an occasion to celebrate the twinning with Rohr, a German town with which Castelcucco maintains a friendly relationship, strengthened by reciprocal visits of delegations.
A community celebrating
Organized by Pro Loco Castelcucco together with the youth association Castelcucco Young, the Beer Festival involves about thirty volunteers and attracts families, young people, and visitors from neighboring towns. It also features a dedicated recycling station in the kitchen, serving as an example of how a village festival can combine tradition, conviviality, and environmental awareness in the upper Marca Trevigiana.
