Edition 2025 — EGO Food Fest

The 2025 edition of EGO Food Fest confirmed Taranto as a benchmark for Mediterranean gastronomy in Southern Italy. In spring 2025, the festival once again offered its widespread format, featuring the Mar Piccolo black mussel, the pizza festival at Villa Peripato, and the EGO Academy training days, drawing chefs, pizza makers, and producers from across Puglia and beyond.

EGO Food Fest 2025

The 2025 edition of EGO Food Fest animated Taranto with its customary widespread program across city-center restaurants, the gardens of Villa Peripato, and the halls overlooking the Mar Piccolo. At the heart of the event, as tradition dictates, was the Taranto black mussel, a Slow Food Presidium, celebrated through dedicated dinners and meetings with mussel farmers.

The grand pizza festival brought together numerous master pizza makers from Puglia and Italy, accompanied by live music and the Pizza Competition, while the masterclass and talk sessions explored themes of contemporary cuisine, sustainability, and the link between food and territory. The 2025 edition thus consolidated the festival's role as a showcase for the food and wine excellence of the Province of Taranto and the Ionian Puglia region, in anticipation of the eighth edition in 2026.
