Jazz in the heart of Molise
The Eddie Lang Jazz Festival is the most prestigious musical event in Molise. It is held in Monteroduni, in the province of Isernia, in the evocative setting of the gardens of Castello Pignatelli, and each year attracts enthusiasts from all over Italy.
A festival dedicated to a jazz great
The festival is named after Salvatore Massaro, known as Eddie Lang, considered the father of modern jazz guitar and originally from Monteroduni. For over three decades, the event, organized by the association Eddie Lang Music APS, has paid homage to his legacy by hosting world-renowned soloists and ensembles.
Concerts and international competition
Alongside the evening concerts, the festival hosts the 'Il Genio di Eddie Lang' International Competition, reserved for young jazz guitarists under 40 from around the world: a springboard for new talents vying for the 'throne' of the great Eddie Lang. Admission to the concerts is free, confirming the event's popular and educational mission.
Eddie Lang Jazz Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the XXXV, confirms the festival as a benchmark for jazz in Central-Southern Italy. Four evenings in the gardens of Castello Pignatelli in Monteroduni, with a lineup ranging from contemporary guitar to Cuban roots and vocal jazz, and the anticipated final of the competition for young guitarists. Organized by the Eddie Lang Music APS association; free admission.

How to get there
Monteroduni (IS) can be reached via the SS85 Venafrana; from the A1 motorway, take the San Vittore or Caianello exit, then the SS85. The concerts are held in the gardens of Castello Pignatelli.
