Dueville e l'Acqua

A festival dedicated to water and its flavours

In the plain between Vicenza and the mountains, Dueville is a land of springs: here clear water gushes from the subsoil and has shaped the culture, economy, and cuisine of the town. It is not surprising, therefore, that the community's most cherished festival is named Dueville e l'Acqua, a gastronomic event that in 2026 will reach its nineteenth edition.

The gastronomic stand

The heart of the festival is the stand set up at the Oratorio Santa Maria, in the charming Barchessa of Villa Monza. The protagonist is freshwater fish, prepared according to traditional Venetian recipes: crispy fried dishes, fry, stewed frogs, and baked trout, accompanied by side dishes and desserts prepared by volunteers. Simple and genuine cuisine, linked to the river and the irrigation canals that cross the territory.

Music and conviviality

Each evening features live music, ballroom dancing, and entertainment for families and groups of friends. The festival, organised by the Associazione NOI Dueville, is a community event that unites different generations and raises funds to support parish activities.

When and where

The event traditionally takes place over two weekends between May and June, in the centre of Dueville, in the province of Vicenza. It is the ideal opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Veneto region, far from the most touristy routes but rich in flavours and hospitality.
