The Oleggio Castello Carnival

In the small town of Oleggio Castello, in the Province of Novara, the Carnival is one of the most anticipated winter events. Organized by the Municipality together with Pro Oleggio Castello, it is a festival designed primarily for children and families, filling the village streets with confetti, costumes, and joy every year.

The heart of the event is the costume parade: participants gather in Piazza Comolli, from where the procession winds through the center to the Pro Oleggio Castello headquarters. Along the route, there is no shortage of music, entertainment, and fun, creating a festive atmosphere that involves both young and old.

An event for Vergante families

Oleggio Castello is located in the hilly Vergante area, just a few kilometers from Lake Maggiore: a location that makes the festival a perfect opportunity for those visiting the Piedmontese lakes. The Carnival is a community moment where local associations and volunteers serve the town to provide an afternoon of lightheartedness.

Each edition features a different theme that serves as a common thread for costumes and scenery: in 2026, the protagonist is the world of Disney, with masks inspired by the most beloved cartoon characters. The day concludes with the awarding of the best costumes and a snack offered to all participants.
