About Dandelion

Dandelion is a widespread festival of sustainable concerts that brings chamber music to the small villages of inland Abruzzo, performed inside a mobile, energy-self-sufficient concert hall. In Crognaleto, in the province of Teramo, the fourth and final stop of the 2026 edition takes place: on September 6th, the Ensemble Baccano, a string quartet of young musicians under 35, presents the "MADE in Abruzzo" repertoire, followed by an aperitif in the village alleys. Free admission.

Dandelion, music resonating through the villages of Abruzzo

Dandelion is a widespread festival of sustainable concerts created by the association Identità Musicali ETS, designed to combine chamber music with environmental sustainability. The project takes the concert experience out of conventional venues and into some of the lesser-known villages of the Abruzzo hinterland—places often far from traditional cultural circuits but of immense landscape, environmental, and human value. Each event takes place inside a mobile, energy-self-sufficient concert hall designed with the lowest possible environmental impact: an immersive model of musical enjoyment that respects the places that host it.

The Crognaleto stop, in the province of Teramo

The municipality of Crognaleto, nestled in the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park in the province of Teramo, hosts the fourth and final stop of the 2026 edition of the festival. It is the last event of an itinerary that, throughout the summer, touches four Abruzzo villages belonging to four different provinces, ideally uniting the entire region around a concept of slow, sustainable, and community-based music.

Ensemble Baccano and the MADE in Abruzzo repertoire

The star of the concerts is Ensemble Baccano, the group from Identità Musicali that has brought together Abruzzo musicians under 35 since 2021. In Crognaleto, the string quartet presents the "MADE in Abruzzo" program, a musical proposal that blends local folk and traditional music with classical language, capturing the sonic soul of the region in a refined yet accessible way.

A concert, a meeting, an aperitif

True to its community-focused mission, every Dandelion stop is not just a concert but a moment of connection: at the end of the performance, the audience is invited to an aperitif in the village alleys, an opportunity to experience the town, meet the local community, and extend the experience in a convivial atmosphere. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and promoted by an association of young musicians active in the Abruzzo region since 2021.

How to participate

Admission to the concerts is free. Given the limited capacity of the mobile hall, online booking via the form provided by the organizers is highly recommended. An event designed for those seeking high-quality music in an authentic, natural, and sustainable setting, far from the big stages and close to the roots of Abruzzo.

Dandelion — edition 2026

The Crognaleto (TE) stop closes the 2026 edition of Dandelion. Followed by an aperitif in the village alleys. Free admission with recommended booking.

The 2026 edition of Dandelion unfolds over four summer stops in Abruzzo villages, one for each province of the region. Crognaleto, in the province of Teramo, hosts the fourth and final date of the program.
