Covoni e Tradizioni

Born to "re-enact the ancient tradition of threshing," the Covoni e Tradizioni event has been one of the defining appointments of the Noci countryside, in the province of Bari, for years. Promoted by the Terre delle Noci association, it has chosen charming rural settings for its editions, such as Villa Scozia and Masseria Vecchia Mastro Marco, which are historic local residences.

The traditional program includes the reconstruction of work on the threshing floor—with the threshing of grain and old agricultural machines put back into operation—accompanied by the tasting and sale of typical local products, workshops for adults and children, and moments of folk music and dancing in the evening. An event that combines the value of memory with conviviality, bringing the intangible heritage of the Apulian farming world back to the center stage.
