Running for a Cause
Corri in Viola is a non-competitive run held in Legnago, in the province of Verona, with a dual objective: to promote well-being through movement and to raise public awareness about fibromyalgia and other chronic disabling diseases. The color purple, a symbol of the fight against this condition, gives the event its name and identity.
An 8 km Urban Route
The course covers approximately 8 kilometers along an urban, flat, and mixed route, starting and finishing at the Legnago Municipal Park. The non-competitive format, with a maximum completion time of two hours, makes the run accessible to everyone: families, athletes, and simple walking enthusiasts.
Sport and Solidarity
The initiative was launched in 2024 and is organized by UISP Comitato Territoriale Verona APS in collaboration with CFU Italia OdV – Comitato Fibromialgici Uniti. Fibromyalgia affects about three million people in Italy, predominantly women, and is not yet fully recognized: the net proceeds from registrations are entirely donated to CFU Italia to support those living with this disease.
Corri in Viola — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Corri in Viola was held on Sunday, May 10th in Legnago, with a start at 9 AM from the Municipal Park. The approximately 8-kilometer route, urban, flat, and mixed, traversed the city streets on a morning dedicated to sport and solidarity.
In 2026, the event once again was part of the initiatives related to World Fibromyalgia Day, confirming its awareness-raising mission. Organized by UISP Comitato Territoriale Verona with CFU Italia OdV, the run donated the net proceeds from registrations to the United Fibromyalgia Committee.

How to Get There
Legnago can be reached by car from the Transpolesana SS434 or the A13 motorway (Boara or Rovigo exit). The city is served by the Legnago train station. The Municipal Park is located near the city center.
