The Big Vocal Orchestra's charity concert for the Cucine Economiche Popolari of Padua
In Sarmeola di Rubano, in the province of Padua, the most anticipated event of the winter returns for those who love choral singing and care about the common good: the concert "C'è un posto per tutti" by the Big Vocal Orchestra, one of the largest and most exhilarating vocal ensembles in the Veneto region. Over 200 choristers, led by conductor Marco Toso Borella, will take the stage at the OPSA Theatre for an evening that combines performance and civic engagement.
The entire proceeds from the concert will go to the Cucine Economiche Popolari di Padova (Popular Economic Kitchens of Padua), a historic institution in the city that provides daily hot meals, showers, and healthcare assistance to people in need. In 2025 alone, the Kitchens distributed nearly 84,000 meals to over 2,800 individuals. The concert is more than just a musical event; it's a collective gesture, accompanied by awareness initiatives like "suspended lunches and dinners," where some choristers personally experience the daily life of the Kitchens.
The Big Vocal Orchestra offers a journey through great international pop music, featuring songs from the musical The Greatest Showman, hits by Coldplay, a choral arrangement of Franco Battiato's La Cura, and medleys dedicated to Eagles, Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, and the Beatles. A wall of voices that fills the auditorium of the Opera della Provvidenza Sant'Antonio, at the heart of the Rubano community.
Now in its third edition, the concert has consistently sold out. It has become one of the reference charity events for Rubano and the entire Padua region.
On Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the OPSA Theatre in Sarmeola di Rubano will host the third edition of "C'è un posto per tutti." Over 200 voices from the Big Vocal Orchestra, conducted by Marco Toso Borella, will perform an international pop repertoire to support the Cucine Economiche Popolari of Padua.
