Colate Verdi dell'Etna - Monte Etna PDO Olive Oil Festival

The second edition of Colate Verdi brought Biancavilla to life from September 19 to 21, 2025, once again in the setting of Villa delle Favare and the historic center. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Biancavilla with funding from the Regional Department of Agriculture, saw the participation of APO, FIOI, and the Monte Etna PDO Protection Consortium.

Friday opened with the school seminar "Oil as culture and nourishment" and, in the afternoon, a creative workshop and the show cooking session "From Etna's green gold to the table". Saturday was dedicated to tasting booths, a masterclass on Etna oils, and the evening conference "Cultivating the Future" with key figures from the regional agricultural sector, followed by tastings of local products and a concert. On Sunday, exhibition stands and a masterclass on Sicilian olive biodiversity closed the festival.
