CinemaAlCastello is the summer open-air cinema festival in Montecchio Maggiore, in the province of Vicenza. It takes place in the external arena of the Castle of Romeo (Castello della Villa), an exceptional setting that combines the magic of the big screen with that of a Scaliger manor.
A festival between July and August
Between July and August, the festival features the most beloved films of the season: from major international titles to auteur Italian cinema, and animated films for families. In August, the programming intensifies with two screenings per week (Sundays and Wednesdays), testifying to the initiative's success.
An event for everyone
With an affordable ticket price and unnumbered seats, CinemaAlCastello is designed for families, young people, and cinema enthusiasts. It is organized by the Sala della Comunità of Vò di Brendola in collaboration with the Municipality of Montecchio Maggiore, and represents one of the most popular summer cultural events in the Vicenza town.

The 2026 edition of CinemaAlCastello brings great cinema back under the stars in the arena of the Castle of Romeo in Montecchio Maggiore between July and August. As in previous seasons, in August the festival doubles its offerings with two screenings per week.

How to get there
Montecchio Maggiore is on the A4 motorway (Montecchio Maggiore exit). Screenings are held in the external arena of the Castle of Romeo, in Via Castelli 4 Martiri.

Ticket €5 per person, unnumbered seats. Purchase online at saladellacomunita.com or at the castle ticket office from 8:30 PM.
