About Cinecircolo Romano
A historic film club in the heart of Parioli
The Cinecircolo Romano is one of the capital's longest-standing cultural institutions. Established in 1966, it has surpassed sixty years of continuous activity and boasts thousands of members, making it one of the largest film clubs in Italy. Its film season takes place in the Municipality of Rome, within the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital (Lazio region), at the Cinema Caravaggio on Via Giovanni Paisiello 24/I, in the Parioli district.
This is not a festival concentrated over a few days, but a full eight-month season: from October to May, every Tuesday and Wednesday, the cinema welcomes members for three daily screenings at 4:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 9:15 PM. A formula that has spanned decades of Italian cinema history and continues to thrive by combining the rigorous selection of a film forum with the comfort of a modern theater.
The Program: Around Thirty Auteur Films
Each season features about thirty titles, identified by a Selection Committee that also considers well-argued suggestions from members. The criterion is quality: films awarded or presented at major international festivals, significant Italian works, and established European auteurs. The program always includes titles from the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice International Film Festival, and the Rome Film Fest.

- The best of contemporary Italian cinema: Paolo Sorrentino, Mario Martone, Paolo Virzì, Pupi Avati, Gabriele Salvatores, Silvio Soldini.
- Award-winning titles and cinematic highlights of the season, often presented with critical notes and in-depth analysis.
Young Cinema Award and Debut Works Festival
Alongside the regular program, the Cinecircolo Romano organizes the Young Cinema Award & Debut Works Festival, now in its twenty-second edition. The festival features ten debut Italian films, submitted to a member vote: a valuable observatory on new generations of directors, allowing audiences to discover emerging authors before they become widely known. Screenings are concentrated between the end of the season in May and a three-day autumn session at the end of September.
The Magazine and Association Life
The club publishes Qui CINEMA, an association magazine that accompanies the season with film notes, reviews, and in-depth articles, also available in digital format on the website. The life of the club is also marked by the members' assembly and a network of partnerships with other Roman cultural entities. Access to screenings is reserved for members: the membership, valid for the entire season, remains one of the most affordable ways to watch great cinema in Rome.
The Venue
The Cinema Caravaggio is a true boutique cinema: 160 comfortable leather seats, spacious lobby areas, and digital projection. An intimate environment, very different from large multiplexes, which fosters the sense of community typical of historic film clubs and makes every evening a recognizable appointment for the public of Parioli and the entire city.

The 61st Season
An eight-month season that traversed the best of recent production, with titles from Cannes, Venice, and the Rome Film Fest. The calendar alternated between great international auteurs and contemporary Italian cinema, with two weekly screenings and three shows per day.
On December 9, 2025, at 4:30 PM, the members' assembly was held. The cycle concluded on May 26 and 27, 2026, with La Vita Va Così by Riccardo Milani, while the days of May 19-20 and 26-27 hosted part of the Young Cinema Award, which continues with the autumn session on September 28-30, 2026.

Memberships and Fees
Admission is reserved for members. For the 2026-2027 season: standard fee €110 with renewal by July 31, 2026 (€120 from August 1st), reduced senior and junior fee €88 (€95 from August 1st), family fee €160 (€175 from August 1st). Payment via bank transfer, postal slip, check, cash, or teacher's card.
