Every winter, the Le Ciminiere exhibition center on Viale Africa in Catania transforms into Christmas Town, a true theme park entirely dedicated to Christmas. Recognized as the largest Christmas village in Southern Italy, the event draws families and visitors from across Eastern Sicily and neighboring provinces, offering weeks of magic filled with lights, shows, and attractions in the heart of the Etnean capital.

The Attractions

Admission grants access to a complete experience, designed primarily for children but engaging for adults as well. Key attractions include:

• Ice skating rink, one of the largest in the city;
• Three theaters hosting Magic Shows, musicals, and the Christmas Circus;
• Santa's House and the Grinch's House;
• Christmas cinema and Christmas Disco;
• Amusement rides, play areas, and the giant Christmas Big Balls;
• The Singing Tree, the Ferris wheel, and numerous themed parades with entertainment throughout the village.

Almost all attractions are included in the entrance ticket; the Ferris wheel requires a separate ticket, which can be purchased directly on-site.

Where and When

Christmas Town takes place at the Le Ciminiere exhibition center, at Viale Africa 12, just a short walk from the central train station of Catania and the sea. The village remains open for over a month, from early December until January 6th, covering the entire festive period from the Immaculate Conception to Epiphany.
