The Carnival of the Chiampo Valley
In Chiampo, in the province of Vicenza, Carnival is a deeply felt tradition: the Chiampo Carnival is indeed one of the earliest carnivals in the province, with a parade of allegorical floats that crosses the streets of the center amidst music, masks, and confetti. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Chiampo, attracts families and curious visitors from all over the valley every year.
The Float Parade
The highlight is the parade of allegorical floats, created by local groups, accompanied by radio entertainment and music that transforms the center of Chiampo into a large outdoor party. Masks and costumed figures complete a colorful and participatory procession.
Party and Tradition
Alongside the parade, the program includes an evening party at the Palatenda, with music and fun to cheerfully conclude the Carnival day. A tradition that renews the popular and community spirit of the Chiampo Valley.

The 47th Chiampo Carnival was held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, with a parade of allegorical floats through the streets of Chiampo, confirming its status as one of the earliest carnival events in the Vicenza area.

Saturday, January 31
- From 9:00 PM — Carnival Party at the Palatenda with music and entertainment
Sunday, February 1
- 2:00 PM — Parade of allegorical floats through the streets of Chiampo's center, with entertainment by Radio Stella FM
- Masks, costumed groups, and entertainment for families and children

How to get there
Chiampo can be reached by car from the SP31 starting from the Montecchio Maggiore (A4) motorway exit. The parade takes place in the streets of the town center.
