A walk among the cherry blossoms

The Cherry Blossom Walk is the non-competitive running event that every year, on Easter Monday (Pasquetta), brings hundreds of walkers to the hills of Colceresa, a municipality in the province of Vicenza born from the merger of Mason Vicentino and Molvena. It is the time when the territory shows itself in its most spectacular attire: the cherry blossoms that cover the foothills.

Routes for everyone

The walk offers routes of different lengths — 6, 12, and 20 km — designed for walkers of all levels, as well as a shorter accessible loop suitable for strollers and people with mobility issues. Refreshment points are set up along the routes, in a festive atmosphere that accompanies the participants' steps immersed among the orchards.

The link with Marostica IGP Cherry

The bloom celebrated by the walk is that of the Marostica IGP Cherry, an excellence of the territory that a few months later, in early summer, becomes the protagonist of local festivals. The Easter Monday walk is therefore the first act of a season that links Colceresa to its most distinctive cultivation.

Organization and spirit of the festival

The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Colceresa, with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of the local hiking group. More than a race, it is an opportunity to spend a morning outdoors amidst nature, landscapes, and social interaction.
