Edition 2025 — Cheese Market
The 22nd edition of the Cheese Market was held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the village of Civitella in Val di Chiana, organized by the Municipality with Slow Food Valdichiana.
The most anticipated moment of the 2025 edition was the presentation of the book "La natura bella delle cose" by Barbara Nappini, president of Slow Food Italy, scheduled for 4:30 PM in Piazza Don Alcide Lazzeri (moved to the municipal art gallery in case of bad weather), moderated by food and wine journalist Claudio Zeni.
As every year, small-scale pecorino and goat cheese producers presented and shared the stories of their raw milk cheeses, along with ricotta, raviggiolo, and Slow Food Presidia. Friends from the twin town of Kämpfelbach were present with beer and local products, along with the usual free shuttle service. The event was preceded on Saturday, May 17, by wine tastings at three local wineries organized by the GTValdichiana association.
