Fourteen days of music, solidarity, and culture where you enter with a basic necessity item
The Che Festival is much more than a music review: it is the beating heart of the activities of Music for Peace, the voluntary organization that has been operating for years in Sampierdarena, a district in the west of Genoa, with humanitarian projects in Italy and worldwide. The formula that makes it unique is the entry: you don't buy a ticket, but you bring a basic necessity item (food, medical supplies, baby items), which fuels the aid shipments destined for the association's missions.
For two weeks, the Music for Peace headquarters in via Balleydier becomes a village open from 12 PM to midnight, with a program that intertwines concerts, DJ sets, international street food, sports, dance, cabaret, shows, a market, and discussion moments. There is space for lunch breaks, aperitifs, and dinner, in a convivial atmosphere that makes the festival a meeting point for thousands of people.
Alongside music, the Che Festival offers workshops for children and cultural debates on peace, rights, and international solidarity, in line with the mission of Music for Peace. It is a festival that speaks to all ages and that, while entertaining, raises awareness: proof that a great popular festival can also be a tool for change.
In the landscape of events in Genoa and Liguria, the Che Festival holds a special place for its virtuous model, capable of transforming fun into concrete help. An event that every summer fills Sampierdarena with music and meaning.
The 2026 edition of the Che Festival returns from June 1st to 14th at the Music for Peace headquarters at via Balleydier 60 in Sampierdarena, daily from 12 PM to 12 AM. The program includes concerts, DJ sets, international street food, sports, dance, shows, cabaret, a market, and cultural debates.
