Carpione Festival of Cazzago Brabbia

In 2025, the Carpione Festival renewed the gastronomic tradition of Cazzago Brabbia, a fishing village on Lake Varese in the Province of Varese. The star was fish in carpione, marinated according to the ancient preservation technique, alongside other preparations based on local catches.

The event, organized by the Pro Loco with the collaboration of the lake fishermen, took place on the lakefront in a convivial atmosphere, confirming the identity value of a festival that tells the centuries-old relationship between the town and the water.
