Two solo shows exploring figure, movement, and spirituality at the Collezione Paolo VI
The Collezione Paolo VI – Arte Contemporanea in Concesio, in the Province of Brescia, presents a dual exhibition focusing on themes of memory, existence, and creativity. Two artist solo shows — Carola Mazot and Marco Grimaldi — engage in dialogue through a journey that intertwines figurative research and spiritual tension.
The figurative artist Carola Mazot presents a selection of works that explore the mystery of existence through the memory of movement and the study of facial lines. Her work reflects on identity and the body, translating the tension between play and passion, which gives the exhibition its title, into images.
The artist Marco Grimaldi draws inspiration from the mystical writings of Teresa of Ávila. His solo exhibition features unpublished drawings, sketchbooks, studies, and works that document the artist's creative process, in a journey that is both an aesthetic exploration and an inner path.
The two exhibitions reaffirm the vocation of the Collezione Paolo VI in Concesio as a place for dialogue between contemporary art and the spiritual dimension, linked to the figure of the Brescian pope, who was born in this very town in the Valle Trompia. This event brings a high-quality exhibition proposal to the province of Brescia.
The two solo exhibitions open on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 5:00 PM and run until the closing event on Saturday, March 28. Carola Mazot, a figurative artist, presents "Play and Passion," focusing on the memory of movement and facial lines.
