Edition 2025 — Carifolio

The twelfth edition of Carifolio took place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Archaeological Museum of Carife and Baronia, in the province of Avellino. A full day dedicated to new Irpinian olive oil, starting at dawn among the olive groves and closing with a convivial aperitif, featuring six local olive oil companies, a panel of expert tasters, the Bruschetta Challenge, an art contest, and traditional Baronia cuisine.

Carifolio 2025, the twelfth edition

Organized by the Associazione Culturale Gli Amici r' lu Callar, the 2025 edition of Carifolio was held on Sunday, December 14, in the spaces of the Archaeological Museum of Carife, in the heart of the Irpinian Baronia.

The day began at 9:00 AM with a walk through the olive groves and a visit to the Samnite necropolis, one of the most evocative archaeological sites in the area. At 11:00 AM, the local producers' stalls opened, featuring six local olive oil companies – including Carifano Angelina, Hirpus, L'Oro Antico, Iumara, and Pelullo – and their Ravece and Ogliarola cultivar extra virgin oils.

The afternoon alternated between a creative workshop for children, the presentation of the book "The Adventures of Oliver and the Secret Art of Olive Oil," the review of Irpinian oils with sensory analysis by a panel of tasters, and the discussion "Oil as a resource: enhancement and sector challenges."

At 5:00 PM, the winner of the Bruschetta Challenge and the participants of the "Oil: Tradition and Creativity" art contest were awarded; at 6:00 PM, chef Gerardo Urciuoli held a culinary demonstration on the art of the perfect bruschetta. The closing, at 7:00 PM, was marked by a convivial aperitif.
