The comic book and pop culture festival on the Island of Capri
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Capri Comics is the annual event dedicated to comics, illustration, and pop culture that has been held since 2012 on the Island of Capri, between the towns of Capri and Anacapri, in the province of Naples, Campania. The festival was born from an idea by the Arcadia Cultural Association APS, founded in Capri in 2010 by a group of nerd culture enthusiasts. It is an apolitical, non-denominational, and non-profit project dedicated to promoting the ninth art.
Unlike large-scale industry fairs, Capri Comics has chosen a more intimate and curated approach, while still attracting leading names in Italian comics to the island. Over the years, the festival has hosted important masters of the pen, alternating monographic exhibitions, original plates, and the promotion of local talent. The island's scenic backdrop, with its charming squares and historic halls, provides the perfect setting for a direct dialogue between authors and the public.
Each edition revolves around a guest artist and offers a rich calendar of activities, including:
Activities are spread across various venues on the island, such as Villa Rosa in Anacapri and the council chambers in Capri, creating a distributed route that unites the two towns.
The Arcadia Association does not limit itself to the autumn event: throughout the year, it maintains editorial columns such as "The Comic Book ABC" and "Islands in Comics and in the Comics," featuring exclusive plates that reinterpret famous characters in a Capri-style version, as well as cultural initiatives that keep the community of enthusiasts alive. Capri Comics thus represents a key part of the island's identity, capable of complementing international tourism with a niche, high-quality cultural offering.
For comic lovers, Capri Comics is an opportunity to experience the ninth art in an exceptional setting, far from the crowds of large festivals. For those visiting the island in autumn, it is an extra reason to discover the cultural and creative side of Capri, beyond the famous natural beauties of Campania.
The new edition of Capri Comics is expected during the autumn of 2026 on the Island of Capri, in keeping with the tradition of the event created by the Arcadia Cultural Association. As of today, neither the official dates nor the detailed program for the 2026 edition have been announced.
