About Camposampiero-Padova Pilgrimage

Every year, the Antonian Sanctuaries of Camposampiero, in the province of Padua, offer a pilgrimage on foot that retraces the journey of Saint Anthony: from the places where the Saint spent the last days of his life to the Basilica of the Saint in Padua. An experience of faith and walking that combines spirituality, landscape, and Antonian memory along the route connecting Camposampiero to the provincial capital.

In the Footsteps of the Saint, from Camposampiero to Padua

The Camposampiero-Padova Pilgrimage on Foot is one of the most significant spiritual offerings of the Antonian Sanctuaries in Camposampiero (province of Padua). The route symbolically retraces the journey of Saint Anthony, who, from Camposampiero – where he spent his last days – was taken to Padua, where he died on June 13, 1231.

A Journey of Faith

Pilgrims start from the Antonian Sanctuaries in Camposampiero and reach the Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua on foot, along a route that crosses the countryside of the Alta Padovana region. It is an experience that intertwines prayer, sharing, and contact with the landscape, in the spirit of the Antonian pilgrimage.

An Event of Antonian Spirituality

Included in the calendar of formation and spirituality activities of the Antonian Sanctuaries, the pilgrimage is open to all who wish to experience a moment of community walking towards the Basilica of the Saint, in one of the strongest connections between Camposampiero and Padua.
