Edition 2025 — Bread and Tomato

In 2025, the Bread and Tomato Festival was not held in Stagno: the event is among those that remained suspended for about ten years, after the historic local festival — also linked to nearby Guasticce — had ceased its long series of summer editions. The return of the festival is scheduled only for July 2026.

The Bread and Tomato Festival did not have an edition in 2025. The festival, dedicated to one of the simplest and most beloved dishes of the Tuscan peasant tradition, had been suspended for about a decade. For years, the bread and tomato festival had been a summer fixture in the Collesalvetti area, in the province of Livorno, enlivening the hamlets and attracting visitors from Livorno, Pisa, and Cascina. After the end of that long season of festivals, the town waited a long time for the return of the event, which only materialized with the 2026 edition in Stagno, thanks to the commitment of the Lions Amaranto Rugby Livorno association and over a hundred volunteers.
