50th Borgotaro IGP Mushroom Fair — 2025

In 2025, the Borgotaro IGP Mushroom Fair celebrated its 50th edition, a historic milestone for the event in Borgo Val di Taro (province of Parma). The event took place on the weekends of September 20-21 and 27-28, animating the historic center between Viale Bottego and Piazza XI Febbraio.

The program featured the mycological exhibition curated by the Fidentina Mycological Association, conferences on forests and carbon farming, photographic and philatelic exhibitions, the "The Porcino in the Kitchen" gastronomic competition, and numerous show cooking events with chefs and local institutions. There were also tastings of Parmigiano Reggiano di Montagna, Culaccia di Parma, traditional balsamic vinegar, craft beers, and wines from the Parma hills.

To crown the 50th-anniversary celebrations, on Saturday, September 27th, a grand fireworks display took place along the Taro River, followed by DJ sets and ballroom dancing evenings. The concluding Sunday featured the "Scaglia d'Oro" exhibition dedicated to Parmigiano Reggiano di Montagna and the closing ceremony with the Brass Band.
