Masked parade, acrobatics and circus show at Parco dei Pioppi
The Bodio Lomnago Carnival is the event that annually colors the Municipality overlooking Lake Varese, in the Province of Varese, with confetti. It is a family-friendly festival where children are the true protagonists, with costumes, dances, and shows.
The masked procession starts from the square of the Sant'Anna nursery school in Lomnago and crosses the town streets to reach Bodio, accompanied by music and dances. Along the route, masks and confetti transform the streets into an explosion of colors, involving adults and children alike.
The festivities culminate at Parco dei Pioppi, where a circus show with acrobatics takes place, along with baby dance, entertainment for children, and snacks. In case of bad weather, the parade is canceled, but the show moves to the Bodio school gym, still guaranteeing fun. The event is organized by the Municipal Administration together with local associations.
The 2026 edition confirms the family-friendly format: a masked parade with music and dances from Lomnago to Bodio, followed by a party at Parco dei Pioppi with a circus show and acrobatics, baby dance, and snacks. In case of bad weather, the parade is canceled, and the show moves to the Bodio school gym.
