The sea arrives in Meduna di Livenza
For three weekends in May, Meduna di Livenza, a small municipality in the province of Treviso on the border with Friuli, transforms into the capital of blue fish. The Festa del Pesce Azzurro, in its 27th edition in 2026, is an event that brings the simple and genuine flavors of the Adriatic Sea to the table, celebrating a fish that is humble but rich in taste and tradition.
What to eat
The heart of the festival is the gastronomic stand, set up in the Piazzale del Municipio. The menu focuses on blue fish in all its variations: mixed fried fish, sardines in saor according to Venetian tradition, grilled sardines, cuttlefish stew, marinated anchovies, and first courses with fish. The most beloved specialty, baccalà alla vicentina, is also available. The opening hours are designed for those arriving after work on weekdays (6 PM to 11 PM) and for long meals on holidays (12 PM to 11 PM).
A festival for the whole family
In addition to good food, a charity raffle is held every evening, and a large area for children with entertainers and games is available. The festival is entirely managed by the volunteers of the Associazione Pro Loco di Meduna di Livenza, who have kept one of the most popular festivals in eastern Treviso alive for almost thirty years.

The 2026 edition, the 27th, enlivens the Piazzale del Municipio of Meduna di Livenza for three weekends, from May 9 to 24. The gastronomic stand is the star, with blue fish served in various ways: fried, sardines in saor, grilled sardines, cuttlefish stew, marinated anchovies, and first courses with fish, as well as the house specialty, baccalà alla vicentina. Hours: 6 PM-11 PM on weekdays, 12 PM-11 PM on holidays. Every evening, a charity raffle and a large area for children with entertainers and games.
