Beer, food trucks, and music in the heart of Mount Etna in San Pietro Clarenza
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Beer Festival is one of the most beloved summer events in San Pietro Clarenza, a small town in the Province of Catania nestled on the slopes of Mount Etna, in Sicily. Born just a few years ago as a grassroots initiative, it has grown with each edition to become a landmark event for the end of summer in the Etna region. It is organized by the Pro Loco S.P. Clarenza APS, which brings together volunteers, local merchants, and artists every year to liven up the town center.
The heart of the festival is, of course, the beer, offered at stands in both craft and commercial varieties, perfect to enjoy while strolling among the stalls. Alongside the taps, you will find food trucks serving street food and traditional Sicilian dishes, ideal for an evening outdoors. The experience is completed by local craft stalls and, in some editions, funfair attractions for children, following the proven "Food, Beer & Music" formula.
Every evening features its own entertainment, with cover bands, DJ sets, and guests ranging from 90s hits to the latest chart-toppers. The live music transforms Via Risorgimento into an open-air square where residents and visitors gather until late at night in a festive atmosphere.
The event traditionally takes place on the last weekend of August, along Via Risorgimento, in the center of San Pietro Clarenza. Admission is free, making the festival an accessible opportunity for everyone to enjoy the Etna summer with good beer, street food, and music. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced by the organizers.
More than just a beer festival, the event represents a moment of connection for the entire community of San Pietro Clarenza and neighboring towns, highlighting the work of the Pro Loco and the identity of a village that, despite its small size, knows how to offer a lively summer at the foot of Europe's highest volcano.
At the moment, the dates and program for the 2026 edition of the Beer Festival in San Pietro Clarenza have not yet been announced. Following the tradition of recent years, the event should be held at the end of August along Via Risorgimento, with beer stands, food trucks, crafts, and musical performances. We recommend following the social media channels of the Pro Loco S.P. Clarenza APS for official updates.
San Pietro Clarenza is located in the Province of Catania, just a few kilometers from the regional capital. By car, it can be reached from the Catania ring road and the provincial roads connecting the Etna towns; the reference airport is Catania-Fontanarossa. The event takes place along Via Risorgimento, in the town center.
Admission to the festival is free. Stands and performances are concentrated in the evening hours, generally from 7:30 PM onwards, for three consecutive nights at the end of August.
