Beans and Pork Rind Festival (Offeio Eco-Festival)

The festival in 2025

On August 17th, 2025, the village of Offeio hosted the usual Beans and Pork Rind Festival, included by the Municipality of Petrella Salto among the official events of the territory with opening hours from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM and free admission.

At the center of the evening was the dish that gives the event its name, beans cooked with pork rinds according to the Salto Valley peasant recipe, accompanied by other offerings from the committee's kitchen. The rules of the eco-festival adopted since 2010 were also respected in 2025: reusable earthenware instead of single-use plastic, compostable cutlery, and attention to suppliers from the Rieti territory.

As per tradition, the festival combined dining with the sociability of the village, with the stone alleys open to visitors and the evening concluding with music.
