About Barzano Book Festival
Books take center stage in Brianza
The Barzano Book Festival is the literary review that transforms Barzano, in the province of Lecco, into a meeting place for authors and readers every spring. As part of Maggio dei Libri, the festival offers a week of events spread across the Canonica, the library, and the spaces of the Peregolibri bookstore.
Authors, workshops, and exhibitions
The program alternates book presentations with well-known writers, creative workshops - from the Caviardage method to Explosion Book - moments of silent reading, and exhibitions dedicated to ceramics, photography, and illustration. A schedule designed to engage audiences of all ages, from children to adults.
A community cultural project
The festival is promoted by the Culture Commission of the Municipality of Barzano in collaboration with the Lecco Library System and the signatories of the Reading Pact, with the support of the local cultural network. Admission to the events is free, confirming the popular and widespread nature of the event.

The 4th edition of the Barzano Book Festival
From May 22 to 31, 2026, Barzano hosts the 4th edition of its Book Festival, as part of Maggio dei Libri, with about thirty events spread across multiple venues in the town: the Canonica, the library, and the Peregolibri bookstore.
Among the guest authors are Bianca Pitzorno, Marina Marazza, Ben Pastor, Franco Faggiani, as well as Giovanni Santambrogio, Alessandro Bongiorni, Daria Colombo, and others. The program includes book presentations, creative workshops such as Caviardage (May 26) and Explosion Book (May 29), silent reading sessions, a treasure hunt across Brianza (May 31), and exhibitions dedicated to ceramics, photography, and illustration.
