Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami – Street Food

In May 2025, the "I Ponti" Garden in Bagno a Ripoli (Florence, Tuscany) hosted the third edition of the Torneo della Lega di Ripoli, the historical re-enactment organized by the Contrada Alfiere, which in 2026 will serve as the backdrop for the first edition of the Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami street food festival.

On May 24 and 25, 2025, the gardens welcomed a large medieval and Renaissance historical camp, brought to life by groups from across Tuscany with demonstrations of fencing, archery, historical dances, and costumed battles. On Saturday evening, a concert by the folk-rock band Bardomagno took place, while Sunday featured a historical cooking contest, followed by a blessing ceremony at the Pieve di San Pietro a Ripoli and a pageant that opened the challenge between musicians and flag-wavers. Even then, the area was accompanied by street food offerings, foreshadowing the meeting of taste and re-enactment that characterizes the 2026 edition.
