On Friday, July 31, 2026, the village of Trisobbio, in the province of Alessandria, hosts one of the most anticipated evenings of the Piedmontese comedy season: Laura Formenti takes the stage at the Castle of Trisobbio with her stand-up comedy show "Io Mortah Live". The event is one of over forty stops on the 11th edition of Attraverso Festival, the widespread festival that travels through the Langhe, Roero, Monferrato, and Piedmontese Apennines every summer.

With her direct and irreverent style, Laura Formenti tackles the theme of change and transformation: "There are still lifes, dead hands, dead-end tracks," the show's presentation reads. The comedian explores with sarcasm and self-irony how certain parts of us die over time to allow us to live new lives. A lucid and sharp monologue, where the audience laughs while recognizing their own small and large daily deaths.

Who is Laura Formenti

A stand-up comedian, author, actress, and performer, Laura Formenti became known to the general public by reaching the finals of Italia's Got Talent in 2021. She has since collaborated with television programs such as Le Iene and created the podcast Humor nero, which entered the Spotify top ten in 2023. In 2024, she won the Paolo Villaggio Stand up Award, a recognition that confirmed her talent among the leading names of the new Italian comedy scene.

Attraverso Festival, the territory is the stage

A project by the Hiroshima Mon Amour ETS Cultural Association and Produzioni Fuorivia, Attraverso Festival transforms the lands of southern Piedmont—declared a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2016—into a widespread theater. The 2026 edition, running from July 13 to September 18, has chosen the guiding word #pop: over forty events in nearly thirty municipalities in the provinces of Alessandria, Asti, and Cuneo, featuring theater, singer-songwriter music, popular science, and comedy. Guests of the edition include names such as Stefano Massini, Ascanio Celestini, Niccolò Fabi, Angelo Branduardi, Alessandro Barbero, and Luca Bizzarri.
