About Assunta Festival
The Assumption Feast in the Hamlet
The Assunta Festival is the parish festival of the hamlet of Piovega, linked to the parish of Santa Maria Assunta, and is held around the Assumption Day feast in mid-August. It is one of the traditional summer events in the Piove di Sacco area, in the province of Padua, a few kilometers from the provincial capital.
Five Days of Flavors and Music
For five days, the food stand opens in the evening and offers traditional flavors: fried fish, barbecue, chips, piadina flatbreads, and sandwiches, accompanied by local wines. From 9:00 PM, the evenings come alive with live music, DJ sets, and karaoke, while for the little ones there are face painting and bouncy castles.
A Community Celebrating
Organized by the Pro Loco of Piovega with the support of volunteers and the patronage of the Municipality, the festival is a gathering moment for the inhabitants of the hamlet and surrounding areas, capable of uniting the religious dimension of the patronal feast with the conviviality of summer evenings spent together.
Assunta Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Assunta Festival is expected in mid-August, around the Assumption Day feast, in the hamlet of Piovega. The established format includes five evenings with a food stand (fried fish, barbecue, chips, piadina flatbreads, local wines), live music, DJ sets, karaoke, and entertainment for children.

- Children's entertainment: face painting and bouncy castles
