Abruzzo arrives on Lake Como

At the Fiera Area in Montano Lucino, a town on the outskirts of Como, in the Province of Como, summer brings with it the unmistakable aromas of Abruzzese cuisine. The Arrosticini Festival is the celebration dedicated to the famous sheep skewers, a gastronomic symbol of Abruzzo, in a weekend dedicated to taste and conviviality.

Arrosticini take centre stage

The heart of the festival is the arrosticini, the small skewers of sheep meat cooked over the embers of the typical Abruzzese "canala" (grill), served hot and steaming. Alongside them, other specialties of Abruzzese cuisine enrich the menu, in a journey of flavours that brings the tradition of central Italy to the heart of Lombardy.

Music and festival atmosphere

The event is not just about gastronomy: the evenings are enlivened by live music, accompanying dinners at the Fiera Area in a village festival atmosphere. The kitchen remains open even in case of bad weather, ensuring the arrosticini are available at every edition.
