The Children's Carnival is the Carnival party dedicated to children and families that takes place in Piazza Roncas, one of the most charming squares in the historic center of Aosta. Born in 2026, the event transforms the urban space into a large open-air stage, where children in costume are the real protagonists, amidst imaginative costumes, confetti, music, and laughter.
Entertainment, Workshops, and Inflatables
The festive afternoon offers entertainment and moments of baby dance, carnival makeup workshops, balloon games, free play areas, and inflatable attractions. A simple and joyful program, designed to involve the little ones in complete safety, with the participation of the merchants of Piazza Roncas in themed initiatives. The event is part of the broader calendar of carnivals in the Aosta Valley, a region with a rich Carnival tradition featuring the historic parades of the landzette and village groups.
A New City Tradition
With this initiative, the Municipality of Aosta, together with the Arte in Testa association, wanted to offer the capital a child-friendly Carnival event, complementary to the great historic Aosta Valley carnivals such as the Coumba Freida and the valley parades. A community celebration aiming to become a new classic of the Aosta winter.
Children's Carnival — edition 2026
The first edition of the Children's Carnival lit up Piazza Roncas, in the historic center of Aosta, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The afternoon featured entertainment, baby dance moments, carnival makeup workshops, balloon games, free play areas, and inflatable attractions. Imaginative costumes, confetti, and laughter transformed the square into a large open-air stage for children. The merchants of Piazza Roncas also participated in the party with themed initiatives. The event was organized by the Municipality of Aosta with the Arte in Testa association, enriching the Aosta Valley Carnival calendar.

Piazza Roncas is located in the historic center of Aosta, reachable on foot from the train station in a few minutes. By car: A5 Turin-Aosta highway, Aosta exit, with parking lots around the city center.
